Brüsseler „Spitzen“ Treffen – ModEurop Kreativ-Team erstellt Farbkarte für Sommer 2024

Immer ihrer Zeit voraus. Die ModEurop Kreativen wissen stets, wohin die modische Zukunft führt. Und wo könnte man sich besser mit Farben, Trends und gesellschaftlichen Strömungen auseinandersetzen als in der EU-Metropole Brüssel? Genau dort hat am 10. und 11. Oktober die ModEurop ColourClubConference stattgefunden. Im trendigen Ambiente der belgischen Hauptstadt traf sich das wie gewohnt international besetzte, hoch kompetente ModEurop Kreativ-Team, um die Farbkarte für Frühjahr/Sommer 2024 zu erstellen. Dafür standen über 500 Ledermuster internationaler Gerbereien (darunter u.a. aus Italien, Portugal, Indien und Deutschland) sowie technische Textilien namhafter Unternehmen zur Verfügung. Neben der Farbauswahl standen Kultur und Trendresearch auf dem Programm. Von beidem hat „Klein-Paris“ viel zu bieten. Das Treffen selbst fand im „Haus der deutschen Wirtschaft“ statt. Ralph Kamphöner, Leiter des Brüsseler Büros vom Verband textil + mode, bot den Teilnehmern spannende Einblicke in die Arbeit der EU-Politik.
2024: Ein Sommer der Extreme
Maximalismus, Extravaganza, Glam. Für Frühjahr/Sommer 2024 prognostizieren die ModEurop Trend-Experten Martin Wuttke und Uta Riechers-Wuttke eine Saison der ultimativen Extreme. Neben den von Sinnlichkeit, Lingerie und spektakulären Farbinszenierungen geprägten Kollektionen gibt es durchweg auch „geerdete“ Signale. Vintage, gealterte Materialien, DIY und Upcycling signalisieren den Wunsch nach Beständigkeit. „Die Re-Interpretation von hyperhandwerklichen Aspekten steht gleichberechtigt mit Gothic Grunge und Tailoring für Transsaisonalität“, erläutert Martin Wuttke. Neben der Exzentrik werde es im Sommer 2024 wichtig, einen neuen minimalistischen Essentialismus zu thematisieren.
Die ModEurop Farbkarte für F/S 2024 greift diese Strömungen auf und definiert die drei Themen METAMORPHIC, EMPATHETIC und BIOPHILIC. Beim Thema METAMORPHIC verabredet sich Grunge Punk mit Glamour-Girl im Metaverse. Hier verschmilzt die digitale Welt mit dem Analogen und lässt zugleich Kindheitserinnerungen aufblitzen. Oversized-Silhouetten bleiben wichtig. Strahlende, leuchtstarke Farben treffen auf farbige Metallics, Transparenz und Reflektoren. Der 3D-Druck sorgt flächendeckend für Erneuerung. Wie durch eine leichte Sommerbrise verwehen in der Thematik EMPATHETIC Zitate aus verschiedensten Epochen. Die Nabelschau geht weiter: feminine Lingerie und sportliche Elemente verbünden sich. Borten, Spitzen und Bordüren harmonisieren mit weichen, fließenden Materialien. Das zarte, pastellige Farbszenario versprüht optimistisches California Beach Feeling. „Hellblau wird eine der wichtigsten Farben und verspricht Kühlung in einer insgesamt aufgeheizten Stimmung“, verspricht Wuttke. Die raue Seite der Natur steht im Mittelpunkt des dritten Themas BIOPHILIC. Batik-Effekte, Fransen, Flechtungen, Patchwork und Stonewashed-Effekte sind charakteristisch für die „Worn-in“ Stilistik. Im Fokus: Repair- und Recycling-Aspekte. Komponenten verschiedenster Klassiker werden untereinander ausgetauscht und verbinden sich zu etwas Neuem. Das Farbszenario thematisiert ländliche Unberührtheit mit außergewöhnlichen Vintage-Aspekten. Eine Farbreihe, die sowohl geerdet als auch expressiv gespielt werden kann.

ModEurop creative team creates color chart for summer 2024
Always ahead of their time. ModEurop creatives always know where the fashion future is headed. And where better to get to grips with colors, trends and social currents than in the EU metropolis of Brussels? That's exactly where the ModEurop ColourClubConference took place on October 10 and 11. In the trendy ambience of the Belgian capital, the as usual internationally staffed, highly competent ModEurop creative team met to create the color chart for Spring/Summer 2024. More than 500 leather samples from international tanneries (including, among others, from Italy, Portugal, India and Germany) as well as technical textiles from renowned companies were available for this purpose. In addition to color selection, culture and trend research were on the agenda. Little Paris" had a lot to offer of both. The meeting itself took place in the "Haus der deutschen Wirtschaft". Ralph Kamphöner, head of the Brussels office of the textile + fashion association, offered the participants exciting insights into the work of EU policy.
2024: A summer of extremes
Maximalism, extravaganza, glam. For spring/summer 2024, ModEurop trend experts Martin Wuttke and Uta Riechers-Wuttke predict a season of ultimate extremes. In addition to collections characterized by sensuality, lingerie and spectacular color showcases, there are also "grounded" signals throughout. Vintage, aged materials, DIY and upcycling signal the desire for permanence. "The re-interpretation of hyper-crafted aspects stands on equal footing with gothic grunge and tailoring for trans-seasonality," Martin Wuttke explains. In addition to eccentricity, he says it will be important to focus on a new minimalist essentialism in summer 2024.
The ModEurop color chart for F/S 2024 picks up on these trends and defines the three themes METAMORPHIC, EMPATHETIC and BIOPHILIC. In the METAMORPHIC theme, grunge punk meets glamour girl in the metaverse. Here, the digital world merges with the analog and at the same time flashes back to childhood memories. Oversized silhouettes remain important. Bright, vibrant colors meet colorful metallics, transparency and reflectors. 3D printing ensures renewal across the board. As if blown by a light summer breeze, quotations from a wide variety of epochs are wafting through the EMPATHETIC theme. The navel-gazing continues: feminine lingerie and sporty elements join forces. Braids, lace and borders harmonize with soft, flowing materials. The delicate, pastel color scenario exudes optimistic California beach feeling. "Light blue becomes one of the most important colors and promises cooling in an overall heated mood," Wuttke promises. The rough side of nature is the focus of the third theme BIOPHILIC. Batik effects, fringes, braiding, patchwork and stonewashed effects are characteristic of the "Worn-in" style. In focus: repair and recycling aspects. Components from a wide variety of classics are interchanged and combine to create something new. The color scenario thematizes rural unspoiledness with extraordinary vintage aspects. A color range that can be played both grounded and expressive.
